High Point Market - Announces Entertainment for Fall Market 2016
High Point, NC, September 14, 2016 — Stars Under the Stars, the popular series of events at High Point Market, is offering two unique nights of entertainment at Fall Market, October 22 - 26, 2016.
On Saturday, October 22, up-and-coming artist Maggie Rose will step onto Center Stage to warm the autumn air with her powerful voice and hard-charging, bluesy blend of rock flavored original American country tunes. With two Billboard Hot Country Songs and an Emmy already to her credit, Maggie is on the rise in today’s music scene. From the fun and flirty, “I Ain’t Your Momma” to the heartfelt “Love Me More” and the wistfully optimistic “Broken,” her well-crafted songs, strong voice and powerful stage presence combine to make each of her shows a memorable event.
On Sunday, October 23, R&B maestros The Pointer Sisters bring their full two decades worth of hits to Center Stage for an electrifying evening of entertainment. One of the defining acts in R&B, the Pointer Sisters cast a line of chart-topping hits, gold records and Grammy awards across two decades, from the early 1970s to the late 1980s. On Sunday night, Sisters Ruth, Issa, and Sadako step up to electrify the evening with a set of tunes that’s sure to stir fond memories and move your feet, including “He’s So Shy,” “Jump (For My Love),” “I’m So Excited,” “Slow Hand,” “Fire,” and “Goldmine.”
Doors open for all events at 7:00 p.m. at Center Stage, between the Transportation Terminal and Showplace, and the concerts will begin at 7:30 p.m. Early entry for market-goers who have been issued a Buyer pass will begin at 6:45 pm. Food and drinks are provided to all market-goers with a current Fall Market pass and photo ID. No one under the age of 15 will be admitted.
