High Point Market - Partnering with Crypton for Outdoor Experience at Spring Market
HIGH POINT, N.C., March 22, 2019 — The High Point Market Authority announces a partnership with Crypton, a leading provider of performance fabric technologies in the residential home furnishings market, to bring an outdoor experience to Spring Market, April 6-10. Dubbed The Crypton Patio, this activation will create a first-of-its-kind, pop-up outdoor lounge, dining and meeting area that will be open to all Market attendees.
Centrally located in the Center Stage lot between the Showplace and IHFC buildings, the same area which hosts the Stars Under the Stars concerts, the space is designed to create a relaxing retreat from the busyness of Market and offer a convenient location for networking and outdoor meetings. Features such as the hammock garden and outdoor seating with umbrellas will welcome guests on Saturday, April 6, Sunday, April 7, and Monday, April 8, from 11am – 4pm, weather permitting. Food trucks will be available nearby in front of Showplace for those looking to grab a quick bite to enjoy on the patio.
“The vibe will be fun and relaxed,” says Crypton Home’s marketing director, Elise Gabrielson. “It’s a spot where you can camp out between appointments, relax, eat lunch, catch up with colleagues and friends. If you’re not sure where to meet up, just call your team and say, ‘Meet me on The Patio!’”
The patio will also offer several programming elements. A Crypton Pooch Pop-Up will present an opportunity to take a selfie with a therapy dog from Canine Companions for Independence on Saturday, April 6, and Sunday, April 7, from 2-4pm. Selfies posted to social media using the hashtag #poochpopup will generate a donation to the non-profit from Crypton. Canine giveaways such as Crypton tennis balls, frisbees and aromatherapy paw towelettes by Herban Essentials will be available.
The Pergola Bar will offer locally-sourced organic juices and kombucha from High Point’s own Organic AF, plus free samples of all-natural botanical aromatherapy from Herban Essentials and live demonstrations of Crypton’s indoor performance fabrics at work. A Crypton Product Specialist will also be on hand, allowing designers to create their own custom to-go box of the latest Crypton fabrics from showrooms across High Point. Patio visitors will also have access to take-home design ideas for outdoor and indoor florals and décor by Balsam Hill.
